Jen Howson is Co-founder and Music Director of Vocalescence chorus. She has been an integral part of Vocalescence becoming one of Queensland's and Australia’s premier a cappella women’s choruses, winning many national awards along the way.
Jen has been an accomplished singer and performer all her life and has built up an abundance of experience in Barbershop and a cappella art forms as a choreographer, producer, soloist, lyricist, chorus and quartet singer, performance coach, vocal coach, actor and motivator, since 1998. Jen is a highly decorated chorus and quartet singer, competing and medaling at the international and regional levels in both chorus and quartet.
She coaches many choruses and quartets around Australia, New Zealand and the USA through Sweet Adelines International, Barbershop Harmony Australia, Barbershop Harmony New Zealand and Barbershop Harmony Society.
Jen is a Performance Judge in the Australasian Barbershop Guild of Judges as well as the Education Faculty for both Sweet Adelines Southern Cross Region 34 and Barbershop Harmony Australia. She is also the business owner of Dream Big Creations,
Jen is a Vocal and Performance Coach and motivator. She is also working on completing her Bachelor of Psychology at Griffith University and writing books on the side.
Teaching and empowering people through music and their own potential is her greatest passion.
